The Lion’s Gate

The Lion’s Gate Portal occurs when the Fixed Star Sirius is once again visible after a period of it being invisible due to the Sun’s yearly passing by this star in August in the Sign of Leo.

In ancient Egypt this coincided with the flooding of the Nile. It is an annual cosmic alignment most potent on the 8th of August (8 being the infinity sign), where Earth, Sirius and Orion align with the Leo constellation, while the Pyramids are thought to be orientated to the Orion Constellation. The flooding of the Nile symbolizes the fertility and life-enhancing quality of this early renewal of the Earth.
