When we consider the evolution of the Earth, the usual connotation is with Gaia and the feminine nurturing principle. For me the Christ figure is central to the Earth evolution, at least until now. The perspective of the work is influenced by Salvador Dali and the Angel from a vignette in a Yoga book.
The four kingdoms are represented in the black rock-face, the plants (tree/grass), animals (birds) and humans (children). The Archangel, stars and White Cross point to higher dimensions and our galactic connection (planets). It was my intention to put adults on the living green grass, but they turned out as children; the guardians of the future of the Earth.
The picture is the emergence and heralding of a New Earth, borne from a higher hierarchy and intention. Archangel Michael is often characterized as the right-hand helper of Christ, serving His evolutionary cause.
