Inner Space

Our sub-conscious or unconscious is often compared to the ocean, a darker rich world which offers both treasures and many unfamiliar and concealed aspects of our inner nature.
It can appear in our dreams as fantasies, projections, Freudian slips and above all in our creativity. Art often involves a bringing something to the surface from a deeper place within ourselves. In order to access it we have to venture inwards and dare to dream, here symbolized by the child-pose. It can be seen as a going back to the womb or yin aspect of our inner nature. It can yield rich treasures and is characterized by fluidity and movement.
