Yin consciousness and the Trickster

This work looks and feels a bit like an illustration and it depicts a “trickster event” that can be experienced in your feminine psyche or unconsciousness. In such a process something is “tricked” into consciousness and it is part of our moon or yin nature. Here the water (our feeling nature) is disturbed by a “fox” representing, slyness and deception. (When I was creating this work, there was an attempt, by means of a phone-call, of a man pretending to rescue me from a financial con-man, when in fact, he was one himself. I was awake to what was happening and he did not succeed).

As we learn to retract and become aware of our projections, (for we become aware of our shadows by means of projections), we reclaim parts of our unconscious psyche, here symbolized by the butterfly, dove, transformation of the snake etc. The forest and darkness reflect our more womblike Yin nature. And the Cancer symbol brings to the surface the more unfathomable aspects of our inner nature on an emotional level. In a sense this represents a process of awakening on a deeper emotional (yin) level!
