The Madonna

I have always related to Madonna’s; especially the Raphael of Urbino Madonna’s. They convey a special devotional quality, worthy of the divine origin of the new-borne.

Here the child is wrapped in African ShweShwe cloth, a hint of a moon aura and a blue-sky backdrop. Her modern Mom is bathed in a golden light and both are at peace.
