Parzival (New) Moon

At the time of King Arthur in Europe there was another Romance of the Middle Ages: the story of Parcival or the Quest for the Holy Grail. There were numerous authors, but the best known is Wolfram’s von Eschenbach’s version. Parcival is the knight who after manifold adventures attains the Grail. In esoteric Christianity this was seen as a spiritual path of redemption, a journey through the heart and by “the fool” which contrasted to exoteric Church doctrines of the time. In our time this quest is often likened to a spiritual awakening of the sixth chakra or the pineal gland.

The Parcival moon is the first sliver visible after Easter each year and those who can read its hidden script as reflected in it by the spiritual sun will be able to read the name of the Grail King as inscribed in the new moon. This picture is a contemplation of this reality as taught in esoteric tradition, an awareness of this new moon’s significance.
