As Above, So Below: Realisation

The 2 butterflies represent the hermetic principle of reflecting the above (idea) as realized in the below (daily reality) in this work, which can be understood as the collective unconsciousness of the times.

Each period in history is characterized by a time-spirit or Zeit-Geist.
In our time the new possibility of collapsing time and space has resulted in immediate accessibility and dialogue, creating a global village and the age of information. The internet and its aligned new technologies have created a new focus on our connectivity.

This could be represented in the butterflies, a newly realized potential of immediacy. The other option is to just enjoy the designs of the more nebulous and focused representations of the unconscious collective and its realized potential.
